The Working Group promotes cooperation and facilitates dialogue between regions in the field of transport, mobility and logistics as well as with the EU institutions to raise awareness of the regional and local dimension of the thematic area. The group fosters discussion on new developments in EU policy and facilitates project development and participation in European projects.

Having identified the collective need for “a healthy planet as our greatest challenge and responsibility”, the President–elect, Ms von der Leyen proposed bolder emissions targets, with a reduction of 50% to 55% by 2030 and committed to submit a plan for a “Green Deal for Europe” and a European Climate Law within her first 100 days in office. Automated and Connected Mobility

A collaborative event between the Ministry of Economy, Transport and Innovation of Hamburg, ITS Hamburg 2021 and the Hanse-Office on automated and connected mobility is to take place this December.  Hamburg has already initiated various pilot projects in regards to new forms of mobility. This event, which is part of a series of talks, hopes to facilitate discussions among stakeholders about opportunites and challenges when it comes to preparing urban spaces as testbeds for automated mobility. Workshop on alternative fuels for road transport – PICASO project

IMDEA energy, as part of the national PICASO project, have organised a workshop that discusses the use of alternative fuels in the Spanish transport sector. With an aim to develop sustainable transport systems the workshop will be attended by researchers from IMDEA energy as well as representatives from the Ministry of Ecological Transition, REPSOL, Nedgia and the National Hydrogen Centre.
