The main objective of the ICT Work Group is to provide a platform for members that helps to inform about important European Initiatives, Strategies and funding programs related to ICT topics and their regional dimension. This platform is equally meant to create opportunities for interregional cooperation in the ICT area crosscutting with other areas.  

We will invest in links and synergies with other topics and ERRIN WGs. In preparation of the new funding period from 2021 on we will continue dialogue with different DGs to talk about the proposed funding programs Horizon Europe and Digital Europe as well as European initiatives to facilitate the participation of our regional stakeholders.

MEP Miapetra Kumpula-Natri is hosting the upcoming two-day exhibition on Artificial Intelligence (AI), which is an opportunity for stakeholders to test the free-of-charge online course of AI, announced by the Finnish Presidency in December 2019. Scoping The Horizon Workshop

A two-day strategic planning and proposal workshop at MetroLab will take place in Brussels in December. The workshop hopes particpants will share the burden of consortium forming and proposal preparation, allowing them to work collaborativley across different calls. The decision by the Dutch government to stop extracting natural gas from the Groningen gas field will have major economic implications for the Northern Netherlands. The European Commission has launched the Digital Innovation Hub Enhanced Learning Programme (DIHELP). DIHELP will support 30 Digital Innovation Hubs to develop and/or scale-up their activities for 9 months through a coaching and mentoring programme.
