Discover how EU research and innovation improves everyday life in a conference organised by the European Parliament and the European Commission on 27 November. On Tuesday 27 November, the Parliament will host a conference on how research and innovation affect everyday life. The conference is open to everyone. Over the last 30 years, the EU has invested €200 billion in research and innovation projects improving life for everyone. From Galileo - the European GPS - to Casper, a robot that helps children fighting cancer, the benefits of research are wide-ranging. Last year, more than 60% of completed projects funded by the European Research Council (ERC) were considered major scientific breakthroughs. The conference will bring together researchers and politicians to reflect on past and present achievements.
